Janet Therese Olson, 85, died September 18th, 2025 in her beautiful home in Coeur D’ Alene.

She was born January 14, 1940 in Johnstown, PA to George and Rose (Dopirak) Schad, along with her twin brother James and years later younger brother Donald Schad.

Janet has now gone to be with her parents George and Rose, her brother James and her late first husband Edwin ‘Eddy’ Nasser.

In her first marriage she was blessed with four sons Ed, Bruce, Leonard and Jan.

While working in Virginia Janet met Leonard Olson and married on October 21, 1989 in Newport News, VA. They then moved to Coeur D’ Alene in July of 1995.

Janet worked at the Coeur D’ Alene resort for 7 years until retiring. In retirement Janet enjoyed being an active member of the St. Thomas church, the VFW Post 889 and the Ladies Auxiliary. In her free time she enjoyed crafting such as knitting hats, painting ceramics, cross stitch and Brazilian embroidery.

Janet will be remembered through her husband Leonard Olson, her sons Ed, Bruce, Leonard and step-sons Mike, Marc and Frank. She will also be remembered by her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A service will be held on September 24th, 2025 at St. Thomas church at 11:00 A.M, 919 E Indiana Ave, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814. Following the Funeral Mass and Graveside Service there will be a luncheon provided by the Ladies Auxiliary. Janet will then be laid to rest at Forest Cemetery, 1011 North Government Way, Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho.
