Jefferey Orchard

Jefferey William Orchard passed away on February 8 th , 2021 in Coeur D’Alene ID. Jefferey was born on May 6, 1988, in Walla Walla, WA to Scott and Vicki Orchard.  He was the youngest of the 5 “J’s”, Jennifer, Jeremy, Jon, Jill, and Jefferey. Jefferey grew up spending many days with his dad riding tractors and combines on the farm, playing in the dirt, and trying to keep up with his big brothers and sisters. Many afternoons were spent with his older sister Jill climbing trees and playing with tractors in the backyard.  Even as a small child Jefferey was a patient, caring, and kind soul while also brandishing grit and determination unmatched by his brothers and sisters.

He enjoyed listening to iconic music from Tool, Disturbed, and Pink Floyd, among others. Jefferey’s love of gaming was nearly unmatched. He spent many hours exploring far away and distant lands with his astonishing ability to tell stories he was able to wow friends and family alike with what could be. He dreamed of becoming a game developer and took strides to do so at an early age.  As much as Jefferey thought he loved gaming his true passions emerged with the birth of his children.

Jefferey held his children as ever important and always made sure to put them first. Jefferey showed unconditional care, compassion, and love to his son Grayson and daughter Ashlynn. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and family and had the ability to make them all smile.

He was a stand-out chef in his own right who found great joy in cooking up new and delicious recipes much to the delight of his kids and family. Jefferey’s teddy-bear heart and warm kitchen were open to all that sought hearty laughs and boundless joys.

Throughout his life, Jefferey was surrounded by friends of all different kinds as he was open and kind to everyone. The level of patience that Jefferey exuded has been likened to that of a saint. His stories, his teddy bear hugs, and his ever-present jolly laugh will be dearly missed and cherished by all those that knew him.

Jefferey is survived by his children, Grayson (6) and Ashlynn (4), his loving parents Scott and Vicki Orchard, and his siblings; Jennifer and Bill Gies, Jeremy and Danielle Orchard, Jon and Heather Orchard, Jill Orchard, and Michael Smith.
