Joanne Dorothy Kenne

Joanne Dorothy Kenne, 75, of Post Falls, ID passed away unexpectedly in the quiet of her home on Saturday, April 9th, 2022.  Joanne was born and raised in Whittemore, IA and attended Garrigan Catholic High School in Algona.  After high school she studied cosmetology and worked as a hairdresser all her life.  She was so proud to have been able to run her own hair salon for almost ten years.  She lived out most of her adult years in Lakeville and had recently relocated to Post Falls just before Thanksgiving 2021 to be near her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Michael and their family.    

Joanne was a proud mother and grandmother to Angela and Michael and their seven children.  She loved to dance, travel and spend time at the lake.  Especially Lost Island Lake in Ruthven, IA where her parents owned a cabin.  Many holidays and summer days were spent there swimming, boating, fishing and such.  

Joanne loved her family very much and made every effort to visit and stay connected with them over the years.  She had a big place in her heart for her brother, sister and all of her six nieces and nephews.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Doris Kenne.  She is survived by her brother Leonard Kenne (73) of Post Falls and sister Kathryn Petersen (67) of Spencer, IA, daughter Angela Harvotich (Kenne) (44) and son-in-law Michael (46) of Rathdrum, ID, grandsons Collin (22), Dillon (20), Hayden (13), Tristan (9), Keaton (8), Grayson (3) and granddaughter Mia (1).

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, April 20th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Rosary at 5:00 pm at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth Street Coeur d' Alene ID 83814.  Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 11:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 919 E. Indiana Ave. Coeur d' Alene ID 83814. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls, Idaho.
