John Carr

John Carr passed away on Nov.23,2019 at Kootenai Health Center at 59.John was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He moved to North Idaho in late eighties, bringing with him a well established career as an office & industrial equipment repair specialist. John built from scratch, owned and managed Apex Office Systems, Inc. until being medically retired by two consecutive car accidents. The injuries he sustained made it impossible for him to continue to work at what he loved to do. He was always a caring father, brother & husband. John was also an avid fisherman, he enjoyed many fishing trips with his father and brothers. One of Johns greatest joys was to spend time with family & friends on his father's boat, fishing on majestic Priest Lake. John loved all kinds of car racing, but his absolute favorite was stockcar racing. He never missed a NASCAR race. John also loved learning about the universe around him & spent many hours contemplating & conversing about the mysteries of physics with his good friend Stephen Koller. John was such an important person in so many people's lives & will be missed greatly by his family and friends. John is survived by his wife Brenda, parents William and Anne, brothers Bill and Steve, children Beth, Sarah, Mellisa, and Chris, and seven grandchildren.
