Katherine Ida Hochhalter, 96

Katherine Ida Hochhalter, age 96, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died May 15, 2019, at the North Idaho Hospice Schneidmiller House in Coeur d’Alene. Katherine was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Carson, N.D., to Adam Sr. and Katherine (Wiest) Mann. She worked as an attendant at the Texaco Service Station in Medina, N.D., for four years before moving to Coeur d’Alene. Here, she worked for 17 years at Commercial Printing Company before retiring in 1980.

Katherine belonged to the Coeur d’Alene Grandmother’s Club and the Uno Card Playing Club.

Katherine is survived by her son, Joseph, living in Coeur d’Alene. She was predeceased by her husband, Emanuel, in 1987, and two brothers and three sisters.

Katherine’s urn will be buried at the Medina Cemetery this summer.
