Laura Wilhelmina White

Laura went home to be with Jesus on November 19, 2023 after a hard and quick battle with cancer. She was a mother to many and a friend to all.

Laura was born in Los Angeles to Robert Bathke and Rebecca Lowell on June 12, 1959. She grew up in a small Christian school with her two younger sisters, and brother; Beth, Kathy, and Karl Bathke. Laura competed in track and cheerleading. In 1980 she met Bradley Busson whom she moved to Idaho with and had three children. Brad and Laura divorced in 2003.

In 2012 Laura met Kurt White whom she married in a private ceremony with her friends and family on July 26, 2014. Kurt and Laura loved boating and were often found on Hayden Lake on the weekends enjoying the sun and swimming.

Laura was a dedicated business woman and spent the last of her career working as community manager at Oak Crest. She formed sweet relationships with everyone she met. She attended His Place Church and served in the toddler room as well as Adventure Club. Children brought Laura so much joy throughout all her years.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rebecca Bathke. She is survived by her husband, Kurt White, by her children; Sarah and John Engle, Tricia Busson, and Kent Busson, and four grandchildren; Gavin, Ezekiel, Brynnlie, and Malcolm, and by all her siblings; Cindy Wright, Beth and Jay King, Kathy Sofia, and Karl and Lisa Bathke, and many nieces and nephews.

Laura’s Celebration of Life will be held on June 8th at 1pm at His Place Church.
