Levita Marrs-Preas

Levita “Vita” Marrs-Preas was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on July 27, 1955, and passed quietly at home with members of her family on May 12, 2021.

A varied and challenging, but interesting, childhood eventually brought her to Oregon where she fulfilled her GED requirements at Central Oregon Community College to become a Certified Nurses Aide and a Medical Technician. Licensed in Oregon, Colorado, Washington, and Idaho. She worked in her profession for some 30+ years, with many, many awards given acknowledging her professional and caring work. Although challenging work, Vita smiled her smile, her eyes would sparkle, and she warmed many a soul with her laughter, sincere and heartfelt caring.

Growing up Levita was a “Tomboy” she developed a love of trucks and horses. Her family was everything! So family camping was number one on her “favorite things” list. Later on, crafting in leather and dream catchers took her fancy for the family. Tigers and lions caught her eye, but living and loving dogs took her heart and became family.

Several years ago, we had and enjoyed an all-out family gathering/picnic. It is sincerely our hope that such can be planned next year in July. A celebration of life for all our “families”.

Levita’s parents; Lois Levita Lindsey and Harold Marrs Sr., preceded her passing. Vita is survived by her husband; Nicholas Preas and Levita’s children; James, Tammey, and William. Grandchildren; Caroline, Kyle, Shannon, Christopher, Robert, and Austin. There are 6 great-grandchildren with one more arriving in July.

Levita‘s service is scheduled for June 12, 2021, at 1:00 at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Humane Society or The Boy/Girls Club of your choice.
