Linda was born in Colville Washington July 12, 1948, to Jack and Phyllis Taft. She was the 4th child out of 5 kids. She grew up in Metaline Falls, Washington and graduated from Selkirk High School. She married Jerry Falwey on September 24, 1966. They were married for 55 years before he passed away on Jan 1, 2021. They had 2 daughters, Darlene Falwey of Montana and Sherry Vodder and son in law Larry Vodder of Post Falls , Idaho .
Linda was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary in Metaline Falls, she also worked at Head Start, Jack & Phils Drive-In, Hoogys Steak House, Exxon Gas Station & bartender at the Legion.
She has 4 grandchildren, Tami Day of Wyoming, Colby Vodder and wife Sarah of Washington, Stephen Day & wife, Heather of Washington and Richard Hodges and Lexi Harbottle of Idaho. She has 23 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and one living brother, Ken Taft of Spokane, She loved spending time with her great grandkids and making blankets. She also loved watching Gonzaga basketball and Seahawks football.
Linda is preceded in death by her Mom, Dad, brothers Ed and Jackie, sister Connie, and husband Jerry.
A celebration of Life will be held on July 12, 2026, at 1pm at The American Legion in Metaline Falls, Washington.
