Linda Marie Langer

Linda Langer, 75, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away August 31, 2025, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Linda was born February 11, 1950 and raised in Ferdinand, Idaho, and was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

After graduating from St. Gertrude's Academy in Cottonwood, Idaho, Linda moved to Boise, Idaho where she met a young man, Ken Langer, who was stationed at the Air Force base in Mountain Home, Idaho. The two married on October 17, 1970 and settled in Klamath Falls, Oregon where they raised two children, Tracy and Dustin. After the children graduated from high school, Ken and Linda moved to Post Falls, Idaho where they remained until their passing.

Linda was involved in St. Pius X Catholic Church where she assisted with weddings and funerals, as well as being a member of the Divine Mercy prayer group. Linda and Ken attended Spokane Chiefs hockey as season ticket holders for many years, and also enjoyed watching the Seahawks, Mariners and OSU Beavers in person and on TV. Linda's favorite activities included her 3 grandchildren and their countless soccer and volleyball games, band concerts, and Taekwondo events, as well as driving the children to/from school, hosting sleepovers, assisting with Easter egg hunts, carving pumpkins, riding bicycles and other activities.

In addition to her parents, Edna and Percy Roeper, and in-laws Elmer and Mildren Langer, Linda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken, who she has missed immensely over the last 3 years. Linda will be remembered by her children Dustin and Sarah Langer and Tracy and Colin Dewey and her grandchildren Kiersten and Kamryn Becker and Owen Langer. She is also survived by her sisters, Bobbie Teigen, Peggy Snyder, Sandi Hollis, Joyce Hudson and Chris Roeper, as well as a long list of in-laws, nieces/nephews and friends. She also leaves behind Ace, her 6-year-old lhasa apso, who is now missing both of his favorite people.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18 (rosary at 10 a.m.) at St. Pius Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft, Coeur d'Alene, with a reception to immediately follow. English Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
