Linda M. Smith (Hoiland)

Linda Marie Smith (7/18/47 – 8/24/23) was born Linda Hoiland.  One of six children, she grew up in a small shack next to Sugarbush Lake, near Lengby, Minnesota.  She lived there with her family until nine years of age, when her family packed up and moved to Rathdrum, Idaho.  Later, she married Kenneth R. Smith in 1964.  Together they raised four children – Juanita, Phillip, Sterling, and Jared.  She was a woman defined by her love of family and her love for Jehovah.  Linda is survived by two sisters, her four children, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  She was known for her gentle personality and her faith.  She will be missed.

A memorial service for Linda will be held on September 30^th, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rathdrum.  Those who knew and loved her are encouraged to attend.
