Lloyd Hohl

Lloyd Hohl, age 81, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away peacefully on October 11, holding his daughter's hand, surrounded by loved ones.  He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carol Hohl, his daughter, Deseray Cooter, and son-in-law, Billy Cooter.

Lloyd, the son of Lester and Maxine Hohl, grew up in Keosauqua, Iowa, where he attended Van Buren Community High School.  Lloyd was a drummer, dancer, and actor and spent summers performing for the theater in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

In 1968, he came to Las Vegas, NV, as a drummer with the Diamonds. Lloyd called Las Vegas home for over 50 years while working in the airline industry and later as an entrepreneur and founder of Cactus Valley Ranch.

In 2020, Lloyd and Carol moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to be closer to their daughter and son-in-law.

A small service will be held in Coeur d’Alene at 2 PM on Monday, October 30th, at the English Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  In the spring of 2024, there will be a Celebration of Life for Lloyd in Las Vegas, Nevada, before his ashes will be spread in the Mojave Desert, which he loved so much.
