Lois Stanea

Lois Marie Stanea age 93, passed away peacefully Jan. 8, 2022, due to complications from COVID and RSV viruses. She was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to Ronald and Hazel Best.

She married the love of her life, Emil D. Stanea, in November of 1949 who preceded her in death in 1987.

Lois was a beloved mother of three sons. She was a seamstress and known for her meticulous quilts. She made wedding dresses and wedding cakes professionally. She played guitar, piano, accordion and violin. She also did many oil paintings.

She had a love for cooking a baking pasties, as her first job at a young age was in a bakery in Coeur d'Alene, The Goodie Shop. She always had something ready to eat for anyone that might be hungry.

She loved nothing more that to spend time with her sons, grandchildren and relatives. Other fond memories were the trips that her and her husband, Emil, took in their motor home around the U.S., and a once in a lifetime trip to England and Scotland with their best friends, Rita and Eric.

Lois is survived by her three sons: David Stanea and wife, Terry Stanea; sons Douglas Stanea and Raymond Stanea; grandchildren, Parker Stanea and Meagan Bright; plus three nieces, Debbie Pohlmeier, Glenda Bagby and Terri Kieper.

Please join us to celebrate her life for a graveside service Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at7315 N Government Way, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
