Loretta Olson

Loretta Martha Olson

Loretta was born on August 17, 1930 in Warden, Washington to Martha Purdy Phillips and George Guy Phillips.  She was the youngest of 8 children that survived to adulthood.  She was raised during the depression and her father died when she was only two years old.  Her Mother made ends meet by working for the railroad.

Loretta liked to paint.  She enjoyed gardening and did not mind enlisting the kids to help her with the weeding.  She was a devoted wife and mother and never stopped worrying about her kids.  Loretta's whole life really revolved around her family.  She will be very missed.

Loretta is survived by her son, Lester Olson of Coeur d' Alene, ID, her daughter Lois Mitchell of Warwick, Rhode Island, many nieces and nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Arnold L. Olson, her parents and her brothers and sisters.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 N. 5th Street Coeur d' Alene, ID
