Louise Frances Gardiner (Aber) passed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus, on May 7, 2026.
Louise was born to George & Elizabeth Aber on October 5, 1926 in Doty Hill, PA into a large blended family of nine children. The family later expanded to 11 with the arrival of Loiuse and her brother Georgie. Her father, George, passed away when Louise was 4 1/2 years old leaving life difficult for the family.
Having little, Louise worked her way through high school, living and working for a Jewish family in nearby Elmira, NY.
She and Harry Dave Gardiner met when introduced by Dave's Navy mate on November 10, 1946. After a whirlwind courtship, where Dave swept Louise off her feet, they married January 12, 1947. They were married for 69 years when Dave died.
Shortly after marrying they traveled west to Newport, WA where they lived 58 years before moving to Coeur d'Alene. During their years in Newport, they raised 6 children and fostered 75 more.
Louise loved the Lord and knew Him as her personal Savior. She prayed for her family and all others to know Him as well. Louise was the family prayer warrior. Her life verses were Proverbs 3:5-6.
Very active in her church she was involved in Women's Mission Society, many other groups and babysat for the MOPS group. She was a great cook and loved to be surrounded by family.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Dave, her parents, all her siblings and 2 of her sons-in-law.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie Sentman, Peggy Kirkman (Kenneth), Jonathan Gardiner (Nancy), Grace Trudnowski (Timothy), Theresa Kinnan (Lloyd), Brian Gardiner (Susan), 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren & 7 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held August 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in building 2 at The Heart of the City Church, located at: 772 W. Kathleen Ave, Coeur d'Alene, ID.
