Margaret Elizabeth Smith Profile Photo

As the first girl in five generations on her father's side, Margaret Elizabeth Quinn came into the world as a princess living a very pampered life in Massachusetts and Connecticut. ln lieu of college, she enlisted in the Air Force where she met her Prince Charming and Love of her Life, Richard Franklin Smith. ln 1957 in Colorado Springs, Colorado Richard officially made Margaret his Queen and they started their family in 1959.

Margaret was Mom to three children, Nanny to three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Over the years, she travelled to all fifty states, obtained her private pitot's license, was a master knitter, an avid bowler and dedicated volunteer.

One of her greatest passions and sources of joy was being a volunteer Senior Companion during the last 10 years of her life. ln her own words she "sat and visited with old people" most of whom were younger than she was and less physically active.

Margaret's Catholic faith was pinnacle to her life, praying daily and attending mass weekly. She also served as a eucharistic minister at her local church on a regular basis.

Margaret touched many lives in many ways, and she will be fondly remembered by family, friends, and those she served. Her long-awaited reunion with her Prince Charming has finally come to pass.  per Margaret's wishes no service will be held at this time.
