Margret Leeveda (Hammons) Evenson 2/28/1929 - 6/13/2025 Born to Ernest and Annie Hammons in Clarkston, Washington. The family then moved to the Priest River Peninsula when she was 2. Margret graduated from Priest River High School. She married Carl Evenson August 12, 1947. They lived in Priest River, Pullman, Clarksfork and in 1959 moved to a small farm in Post Falls.The first thing she did was plant a huge garden and raise a variety of vegetables. Margret was very involved with her children. She was a room mother, belonged to PTA, and 4-H leader for several years. An exceptional seamstress making costumes, school clothes for her children, shirts for her husband, many bridesmaid dresses and even a few wedding dresses.She worked at KMC, the Forrest Service Tree Farm, volunteered for Post Falls Senior Center Meals on Wheels, and helped to form and maintain the Greensferry Water District. A 65 year member of Sons of Norway #11 Coeur d’Alene and belonged to the Post Falls Historical Society.

She has always enjoyed Church, taught Sunday School and taught herself how to follow services on line.She enjoyed music, singing and dancing to it all. Sitting outside enjoying her morning tea, listening to the river and birds.Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Carl; her parents;4 siblings. Survived by 1 brother; 4 children, Annie, Louise,Dennis and Doug (Lori); 9 Grandcildren and 10 Great Grandcildren. We miss you mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. Funeral service will be held July 5, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Calvary Lutheran Church, Post Falls.
