Mary Ellen Button

Mary Button, 85, of Post Falls, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Mary was born in Burliegh County, North Dakota where she started her family before moving to the Inland Northwest where she enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Mary had a long and successful career in real estate and banking. After her retirement, she dedicated her time to serving her community by volunteering for the Post Falls Police Department. Her commitment and dedication were recognized with a presidential award for clocking more than 10,000 hours of service. She was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran church.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Cory Fetzer, her daughter, Leta Thomas, and her large extended family. Mary is survived by her 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mary is now reunited with her beloved husband, Harry, and her son, Donovan, along with her sisters Doris, Marolyn, and Jackie who preceded her in death.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date to honor Mary's remarkable life and the impact she had on those around her.
