Michael F. Danks

Michael Frederick Danks, 73, of Rathdrum died peacefully after a multiyear battle with cancer, on June 15, 2024, at the Hospice of North Idaho Schneidmiller House. Michael was born on August 7, 1950 in Pidgeon, Michigan.

Michael had a successful career in the crafts and used his skills as a welder and pipefitter with Eaton Corporation in Saginaw, Michigan, later in mills in Oregon. After relocating to North Idaho, he became an accomplished carpenter as a member if the Carpenter’s Union working on projects in Idaho and Washington as well as a Propmaker for the Motion Picture and Television Industry.

Michael was honest, charitable, giving of his time and a great admirer of the military and those who served.

Michael loved hunting. The Pacific NW outdoors, and world history, but most of all he loved the Lord and his wife of 34 years. Michael began dating the love of his life, Patricia, on April 15, 1981. The two were married in Michigan on June 6, 1981. Patricia preceded Michael on November 23, 2015.

Michael is survived by a brother, David Danks in Michigan, a sister Mary Gabor in Florida and a brother-in-law Carl Skowronski in Florida: and his close friends in Idaho, particularly the Hite and White/Weller Families.

Arrangements by English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls.
