 Michael (Mike) Lee Fettig, Senior, passed away Saturday, June 22nd after a valiant fight against cancer. He was 75.

Mike was born in Yakima, Washington June 29, 1948 to Wendelin and Magdalena Fettig (Feist). He is survived by his wife, Debbie, sons Edward (Kelly) and Michael II (Bridget), Grandchildren, Michael III, Brittany, Shelby, Riley. Great-Grandchildren, Aiden, Addison, Maeva. Brother Jerome and Sisters, Shuryl, and Marilyn. He was proud Papa to Liam. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Charlene, brothers Patrick and Fred and sister Veronica.

Growing up in western Oregon, Mike came from a family of hard workers, picking crops farming and operating businesses. He graduated Beaverton High School in 1966.

A Chief Warrant Officer, Mike was a two-war, decorated combat veteran, spending 26 years in the United States Marine Corps Air Wing. He fought bravely in Vietnam and Desert Storm and was stationed on both coasts and overseas before retiring in 1994.

Mike was a man of kindness and practiced a life long commitment to being there for others. He donated countless hours at the Post Falls Food Bank and was most recently awarded “Friend of the Silver Lake Bible Camp” for his devotion to their mission.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 6th at 3:30pm at Northwest Family Church, 19587 W. Riverview Dr., Post Falls, ID. A celebration of life with military honors will be held at a later date and location tba.
