Michal Ann Short

We are saddened to announce the death of a true angle on earth; Michal Ann Short, (Micki Pyle).  Micki was taken too soon from us on 6/27/2022 at her home in Spokane.
Born to Thomas and Patricia Pyle on 8/5/1960 in Spokane and was a resident in Post Falls, Idaho for most of her life.  She attended K – 12 in Post Falls and was a proud Trojan.

She was employed with Cyrus O’Leary’s for about 10 years in the research and development department.  She has always been employed in the bakery industry which was her passion.  Many friends would ask that she make wedding cakes and other goodies.   Her creations brought many smiles, warmed many hearts and filled many tummies.  She participated in the “Christ the Kitchen Gingerbread Bakeoff”, to which she won 1st place several times.

She is survived by her children; Kasey Short, Jessica Short and Lee Short, her sister; Tommi Lynn Pyle, 5 grandchildren; Mason, Melody, Gussy, Marcylynn and Mary and her dog Champy.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents John and Helen Hodge, her mother and father Thomas and Patricia Pyle and Uncle Sonny (Walter Pyle).

She will be laid to rest at the Evergreen cemetery in Post Falls Idaho, sharing a niche with her father. We will announce a date for a celebration of life soon for those who would like to share her memories.

While it is difficult to let her go, we know that God is pleased to receive back into his arm a gentle soul where she belongs. And is surrounded by the love of those who went before her.

In lieu of flowers Micki was a strong advocate for the support of children and neglected animals and would appreciate a donation made to one of the following charities:
  The Shriners Hospital for Children
  ASPCA
  St Jude Children’s Hospital
