Omar passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on June 12, 2017. He was the gentle giant and a pillar of strength for everyone that knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughter Robin Bekkedahl, son-in-law Robert Hopkins of Liberty Lake, Washington; brother Robert Bekkedahl, Tacoma, Washington; sister-in-law Jane Seward, Kalispell, Montana; numerous nieces and nephews, and good friend of the family, Ellen Murinko. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Lifeway Chapel on 501 W. 15th St, Post Falls, Idaho.
