Remembering Pam Carnie

Pamela Jeanne Carnie, 63, was promoted from this earth into Heaven on Sunday, January 24, 2021.  Born July 24, 1957 in Moscow Idaho to George Major Carnie and Nell Clark Carnie, Pam attended elementary school in Hagerman, Idaho and continued her secondary education in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She continued her education at Michigan State University, where she trained to become an English teacher. Pam is survived by her father, George Carnie, her siblings and their spouses, Peter and Sharon Feeley, and Steven Mitchell (Mitch) and Ruth Carnie, and her half siblings, Malia Carnie, Lorie Sandaines, and Landon Carnie, 6 nieces, 4 nephews, and a large, loving family of uncles, cousins and friends. Pam was proceeded in death by her mother Nellie Clark Carnie Ogilvie,  her brother Ronald Carnie, and her stepfather Larry Ogilvie.

Pam was passionate about prayer, Israel and the Jewish people, her family and friends, and of course, her students. She gave of herself freely and served and blessed others selflessly. She loved the Lord and shared that love with everyone she met. She was a precious friend to many, a teacher, mentor and tutor to her students at Alief Hastings High School in Alief, TX for thirty years.  She was an encourager to everyone she met. She played her flute wholeheartedly on the worship team of her synagogue, Congregation Beth Messiah in Houston, TX, for thirty years, as well as serving there in other capacities.

While all who knew and loved her will miss her greatly, we know she is now at peace, happy, and pain free. She will be greatly missed here but we know she is rejoicing today in Heaven, and if she left one message reflective of her life on earth, it is: welcome Yeshua (Jesus) into your heart and serve Him only.

A memorial service will be held at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 North Fourth Street in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Saturday July 24, 2021, at 11:00 am.  The graveside service will follow at The  Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 North Government Way at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations  in honor of Pam may be made  to her congregation, Beth Messiah, 9001 W. Airport Blvd. Houston, TX 77071. Donations in her honor will be earmarked for the benevolence program to help people who have fallen on hard times.
