Peggy Prather

Peggy Jean Prather was born on February 10, 1928, in Santa Monica, CA to Arthur and Marjorie Wood and was the second child of eleven in a blended family. At the age of twenty, she met her life's partner, Robert Edgar Prather (Eddie), and they were married in Arcadia, CA on September 21, 1951. Together they lived a nomadic lifestyle and traveled to many parts of the United States while Eddie followed his dream of training thoroughbred horses and managing breeding farms for racehorse owners. They retired to Palm Desert, CA. Peggy was widowed in 2007. She moved to Coeur d'Alene, ID where she resided at Bestland Senior Living. She loved the thrift stores and an occasional trip to the local casinos. She passed away peacefully at Hospice of North Idaho of an age-related illness. She is survived by three remaining siblings; Arthur (Woody) Wood, Patricia Hunt, and Robin (Jack) Oliver. Her nephews and nieces are too many to list here. Peggy had a very giving heart and will be missed. At her request internment will take place in the spring.
