Ramona L. Braden, 89, originally of Toppenish, Washington passed away early on October 11, 2025. Mona was born March 24, 1936 in her family home in Toppenish, Washington and was a Yakama Indian Nation Tribal member.
Mona lived her life in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. She was born and raised in Toppenish, Washington. She lived in the Yakima Valley of WA, Seattle WA, Portland OR and Hauser ID. Her work life included raising three children, going to school to become an Licensed Practical Nurse while her husband Ralph took care of the three children until she graduated and became an LPN. She worked as a nurse in Seattle at Kaiser Hospital, hospitals and nursing homes in Portland, a detox center for the Yakama Indian Nation, a Gate Guard for the Yakama Indian Nation and a nurse for the Job Corps Center in White Swan, Washington from which she retired.
Mona enjoyed visiting family, traveling in the the northwest states, shopping for bargains, and playing Bingo which she played throughout her life. Most recently she enjoyed watching the Waltons and Heartland.
Mona is survived by her three children Ralph (Joy), Bobbie (Ken) and Anna: four grandchildren Ryan, Myndi, Matt and Sarah; great grandchildren Nathan, Haelymae, Camryan, Destiny, Robbie, Jordin, Wyatt and Gage: sister-in-law Sandy: Great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends Kathy and Warren with whom Mona lived with for over four years before her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph of 51 years, her second husband Zane of 13 years, her parents Charles and Helen and brothers Charles, Loren, Don, Jerry and Roger.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Auburn Crest Hospice of CDA Idaho.
