Richard Julius Huber

Richard Julius Huber (Dick) passed away May 29, 2025, at Kootenai Health. He was born to Julius and Erma Huber on December 16, 1935, in Kellogg, Idaho. Richard lived his early years in Cataldo, then moved to Coeur d’Alene and then to Post Falls in 1948. He went to Post Falls High School graduating in 1955 and was the class president.

Richard was in the army from September 1958 to August 1960, serving in Germany. After the army he held various jobs and then settled at Potlatch Mill, where he retired from in 1992.

He was a member of the Eales Club and The American Legion.

On May 18, 1963, he married the love of his life, Frankie. They had 62 wonderful years together. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends. In his retirement he and his wife became snowbirds, enjoying the warmer weather states and meeting new people.

Richard is survived by his wife, Frankie, children; Marshall Meeks (Cathy), Rochelle Seher (Gary), Becky Mills (Barry), Richard Huber, Teresa Atkins (Ed), 9 grandchildren; Andy, Kevin, Michelle, Brandi, Nick, Jason, Marcy, Roseanna, and Samantha, 12 great grandchildren; Barry, Sharon, Reagan, Hailey, Tage, Michael, Brandon, Olivia, Miller, Maverick, Madison and Lucy.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jimmy, David, Denny, Danny and grandson Ian.
