Robert Martinez

Robert Martinez passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at his home in Rathdrum Idaho. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather,

brother,  and friend as well a great family member. He is survived by his wife Sharon Martinez, His Children Robert Martinez Jr (Patricia) , Kristine Martinez  Steven  Martinez, Christopher Herrera (Reba), Dean Winters (Lotti) Kisa Perez, Kyle Winters (Lyrisha) Tonya Moore (Kevin)

John Winters, and Veronica Loe. Granddaughter Kaltlin with an additional 18 grandchildren.  He is also survived by Sister Shirley Vilabrille  of Phonex AZ, brother Larry Martinez (Linda)  of Los Banos CA,  Ralph Vilabrille (Virginia) of San Jose CA, Gerald Vilabrille (Loretta) of Yucca Valley CA,  David Vilabrille (Cecelia) of Liberty Lake, Washington.   Robert was preceded in death by his mother Ida Vilabrille , brother John P Martinez and sister Mary Ellen Vilabrille.

Born in San Jose, CA   on March 3, 1945 Robert spent most of his first 10 years living with his mother and step father, Rafael Vilabrille ,  in San Jaun Bautista CA. Following the death of his step father in 1955,  the family relocated to San Jose, CA. Robert attended San Jose High School. He also attended James Lick High School before leaving to begin his journey in the automotive repair business. A self-taught mechanic, Bob was available to help whenever possible to help anyone with the repairs or guidance on any particular problem. 

Upon retirement Robert moved to Spokane Washington in 2008 and later to Rathdrum Idaho where he married Sharon. Together they purchased a home in Rathdrum. They both worked at Cascadia Molding Plastics. 

Robert, with your big heart you will be missed by everyone.
