Robert "Bob" Moore

Robert Allen Moore “Bob”

5/15/1932 – 6/27/2020

Robert “Bob” would like you to know his work here is done.  He received a call, the sort of offer you can’t refuse.  It’s an appointment, he will not be returning from.  This assignment comes with huge sign- on bonuses; a reunion with family and friends he hasn’t seen in a long time.  Job security is 110%! His new mission: upgrade his knees and lungs.  That will take him to wonderful places where he will socialize, take long walks enjoying the scenery, and…watch football til his heart’s content.  (As loud as he wants) music, laughter, and love are guaranteed!  The food is delicious and he will never gain an ounce!  Bob left instructions for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: that is…to celebrate his mission here which has been COMPLETED!  Also…have a beer and watch the next football game.  Low adherence to these instructions will not be tolerated.  He also said enjoy the rest of your journey, and he will see ya’all Down The Road!

Love Bob

Bob’s family would also like to thank the VA Crest Home Care and Hospice for all of their help and support!  At Bob’s request there will be no services.

May I Go Now?

Don’t you think the time is right?

May I say good-bye to pain filled days

and endless lonely nights?

I’ve lived my life and done my best,

An example tried to be,

So can I take that step beyond

and set my spirit free?

I didn’t want to go at first,

I fought with all my might!

But something seems to draw me now

to a warm and loving light.

I want to go! I really do!

It’s difficult to stay.

But I will try as best I can

To live just one more day…

To give you time to care for me

and share your love and fears.

I know you’re sad and are afraid

because I see your tears

I’ll not be far, I promise that,

and hope you’ll always know

that my spirit will be close to you

wherever you may go.

Thank you so for loving me.

You know I loved you too.

That’s why it’s hard to say goodbye

And end this life with you.

So hold me now just one more time,

and let me hear you say,

because you care so much for me,

you’ll let me go today.
