Ronald Glen Sever (75)

Born November 13, 1947, in Moscow Idaho, to Glen Arthur and Mildred Ferne Perry Sever.

Ron attended schools in Moscow Idaho (MHS class of ’66) and served in the United States Navy. It was a proud moment when he was selected for the Navy Choir during boot camp.

In the 1970s, Ron was a building contractor… building homes in the greater Tri-Cities area.  He married Vonda Lee “Becky” Powell there… with a ready-made family… she brought twin daughters… Melony and Melissa to the family.  They had one son, Jesse who died at birth.  They were later divorced, and life became a challenge for Ron.

For those that know him best; Ron (AKA “R.G.” or “Blue”) was always a true friend with a love for music, his dogs (always named “Buddy”) and malted spirits (beer).

In his later life, he adopted a solitary lifestyle… living alone in a small trailer… accompanied by his long-haired Chihuahua “Buddy”.  Last winter, his brother Bill found him in that trailer with no heat, near death… suffering from severe hypothermia.  He was hospitalized at that time, later moving to Ivy Court in Coeur d Alene… where he remained until his death in the early morning hours of March 15th, 2023.

Preceded in death by his son Jesse and his mother and father; he is survived by his brother Bill (Coeur d Alene) and his sister Carol Jean Jones (Spokane), nephews, nieces, aunts, one uncle, many cousins and die hard friends… Including “Buddy”.

No services are currently planned but the family hopes that, those that new our “rustic” and “crusty” brother will join us in the thought that, now his pain is over, and he is at peace in a much better place.
