Sandra Lee Benjamin

At 5:28 am on Friday, May 31st, the most beautiful soul transitioned from this life.

Our Mom, Sandra Lee Benjamin, exemplified kindness, courage, unconditional love and acceptance, bravery and strength, compassion, and the overall ability to make anyone in her presence feel safe. She was a Mom/Mother-in-law, Wife, Grandma, Sister, Daughter, Cousin, Aunt, and friend to many, and those who were lucky enough to know her were all the better for it. She was truly the most beautiful person inside and out and was always thinking of others above herself, even in her final days of battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

She found the most joy in spending time with her family when we were all together (especially with the grandkids), snuggling with her puppies, and being in the mountains every opportunity she had. She also loved gardening and music, and nurturing those that she loved most. She was the most amazing and loving Grandma, and truly cherished every single moment she had with all 7 of her grandkids.

She leaves behind a legacy of a life selflessly lived and an unmeasurable amount of love so richly given. We will miss her with every fiber of our beings, every moment, of everyday that we all have the gift of living. While our lives will be forever changed without her, she will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her husband Alan V Benjamin, her daughter and son-in-law Andrea and Michael Hoyt, her son and daughter-in-law Shane and Heather Benjamin, her daughter Annie Benjamin and her fiancé Aaron Cross, and seven grandchildren Hanna, Forrest, Emily, Greg, Aubrey, Thomas, and Jack.

Please feel free to share your favorite photos of our Mom in the guest book!
