Scott Opland

With heavy hearts, we share the loss of Scott Opland, born on Oct 10th, 1959 in Duluth, Minnesota to Raymond Opland and Elaine (Nastansky) Opland.

Scott passed away peacefully on Nov 3 rd 2025 . Scott moved to Idaho with his family at age 4, where he attended school in Wallace, then Rathdrum. He later worked as an erector of steel buildings along with various construction jobs.

He is survived by his mother Elaine Scott, Sister, Lori Nirk, brothers Mike and Tom Opland , son, Alex Opland (wife Emily) and his grandchildren, Caden and Carter Opland, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Scott loved 4-wheeling, camping, riding his Harley, fishing and playing board & card games with his family,.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor and kind soul. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 22nd at 1pm at the Presbyterian church 6174 Jefferson st. in Spirit Lake, ID. Gathering after at the Linger Longer.
