Sharon "Punkie" Prosch

Sharon Kay Prosch (Benjamin) fondly known as Punkie to most of her friends and family, went to be with the Lord and meet her beloved Jesus on January 24th 2019. She left this world surrounded by the love of her daughters and family.Punkie was born January 28th 1945 to Edgar and Alma Benjamin. She was a lifelong resident of CDA and graduated from CDA high school in 1964. Punkie’s first job was at Paul Bunyan in down town CDA where she met the love of her life Cliff Prosch. They married July 10th 1964 and had 2 daughters.Punkie always enjoyed singing, fishing, camping, reading, having coffee and visiting with friends and was a blue bird leader in her daughters’ younger years. She was also a lifelong member of the Eagles.

Punkie leaves behind her daughters Marlo (Tony) Oslund and Angie (Randy) Hammond, 4 grandchildren A.J. (Grace) Oslund, Jake (Talia) Oslund, Sidney Hammond and Jesse (Christina) Hammond, 2 great grandchildren Taven and Tessa Roetcisoender. Brother Alan (Sandi) Benjamin, sister-in-law Joyce Benjamin, numerous nieces and nephews, a best friend of over 60 years Julie Wooldridge and beloved dog Bandit.

Proceeded in death by brother’s Edgar and Joe Benjamin, sister Marylou Wagner and Ralph Smiley her companion of over 30 years.

We would like to thank her doctor’s Heather Sarkis, Dr. Hoopman and their nurses for their loving care and support. Also Hospice and staff (especially her tall drink of water, you know who you are HA,HA,HA) and her neighbor Shelly and caregiver Cindee for all your help over the past year. Also a special thank you to Dwain and Misty Fish and Seth Owen from Heart of the City church for all your visits and prayers with Punkie her last month on this earth.

Please join us as we raise Punkie to “The Spirit in the Sky” (her song) with a celebration of life Sunday February 10th from 1pm to 3pm at the Hayden Eagles.
