Our beloved Sorin Nickolescu, after a long battle with illness, left this world peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on May 13, 2023, a little more than a month shy of his 68th birthday. He was the dear son of the late George and the late Olga Niculaescu, beloved brother of Claudia (Costel) Dumitrescu and Adrian (Annie) Nickolescu, adored father of Edwin (Cipriana) Niculaescu and Alex (Cristiane) Niculaescu, proud grandfather of Ethan, Ana, Aiden, and Alice, cherished uncle of Lorelei, Dumitrescu, Astrid (Dino) Mendez, Simona Stoian, Ammie Nickolescu and his late beloved nephew Matthew Nickolescu and grand uncle to
Penelope, Rafael and baby Mendez.
Sorin was an entrepreneur who had his own business in Atlanta, Georgia, a builder and a contractor who build his own house, a handyman, and an electrician. He was an artist fascinated by aesthetics and beauty. He loved nature, especially hiking the beautiful trails around Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene. He was a gourmet cook, and he enjoyed gardening and beekeeping. He had a heart of gold, always ready to help and extend love and kindness to others. He had a passion for life and for his family, especially his children and grandchildren and he loved God. He was loved and respected by many and he was generous and kind to those who he crossed paths with. He will be dearly missed.
