Susan C. Bostow

Susan Clarke Bostow was born January 21, 1954, at Children’s Hospital in Washington DC. She died June 27, 2023 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She leaves a daughter, Courtney Bostow; a granddaughter, Kayden Buettner, both of Coeur d’Alene and a sister Cathy Clarke Elledge of Gulfport, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Julia Clarke. She will be remembered and greatly missed by many friends across the country. Susan graduated from Salpointe High School in Tucson, Arizona in 1971 and from American University in Washington, DC, summa cum laude with a degree in Business Administration, in 1975. She enjoyed a variety of careers, including working for PRC (Virginia), the water department in San Francisco, San Mateo County Clerks’ Office (California) and most recently and a favorite, SQM in Coeur d’Alene. She truly enjoyed playing online games and developed an entire community of friends doing so. Susie loved MLB Baseball and was major fan of the San Francisco Giants, especially fond of Will Clark. She attended many games with her sister Cathy and her late husband Lon, always rooting for the opposite team. Those memories will be cherished forever. Susan had been in treatment for Stage 3 Lung Cancer since late summer of 2021. She struggled terribly the past couple of months but never lost her fantastic sense of humor. Her kindness never diminished. A Celebration of Susan’s life will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Avenue, Coeur D’Alene. It will be a Communion Service followed by lunch. All are welcome. Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
