Suzanne C
Riplinger
July 19, 1942 – March 17, 2026
Suzie Riplinger, a beloved sister, aunt, and cherished friend, died peacefully on March 17, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.
Suzie was born in Pensacola, Florida, in 1942, while her father was stationed at the local Naval air base. Her family returned to North Idaho by the time she was 2 years old. As the eldest of 10 children born to Ray and Connie Koep, Suzie was 22 years older than her youngest sibling and played a vital role in helping raise her younger brothers and sisters.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and her siblings, Lance, Coco, and Blaise. She is survived by her siblings Deborah, Court, Roch, Ruth, Phoebe, and Amy. They all believe they were her favorite.
A 1960 graduate of IHM Academy, Suzie later attended Gonzaga University while living with her maternal grandmother, Ruth Read. She spent time living and working in the Seattle area before returning home to assist her paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Hubert Koep. A particularly proud moment occurred in 1966 when she returned to Pensacola to pin the wings on her brother, Blaise, upon his graduation from Naval flight school.
Suzie went to work for the Idaho Liquor Dispensary, where she managed the Sherman Avenue branch until her retirement. In her free time, she was an avid mahjong player and enjoyed various games and laughter with her friends. Suzie resided at The Lodge assisted living facility during her final years.
Suzie will be remembered for a life defined by warmth and an unwavering commitment to those she knew. She will be deeply missed by her large family and friends. A celebration of life will be held this summer.
