Thomas "Tommy" Francis Dunnigan, passed away at home in Post Falls, Idaho, December 30, 2025. He was 81. Tommy was born January 31, 1944 in Williston, North Dakota, to Walter and Bertha (Hanggi) Dunnigan.
He grew up in Cut Bank, Montana, and began working for Buttrey Foods where he worked until he was drafted and served the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Muriel Rubow on November 13, 1970. They later divorced.
He continued his work with Buttreys, eventually retiring as the Meat Department Manager.
His passion for his Catholic faith, automobiles, rodeo, and whiskey stayed with him through his final years. He is survived by his sister Kathleen Satake of Three Forks, Montana, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 31, 2026, at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank, Montana. The service will be presided over by Fr. Matt Solarz.
Please consider offering Mass intentions for the repose of Tommy's soul. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, the Knights of Columbus, and any United States Veterans organization.
