Todd Printz

Todd was welcomed home to heaven on Thursday, December 21 st , 2023, following a brief illness. He was born in Sandpoint, ID on July 10 th , 1962, and lived in the great northwest for most of his life, retiring in Coeur d’Alene, ID with his wife, Stacie.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Todd valued spending time in nature and had a lifelong passion for fishing. He would often be boating, riding his ATV, or camping with Stacie. He always knew the best fishing spots and which lures the fish were biting on and enjoyed sharing his fishing tips and stories with family, friends, and strangers. He had a legendary collection of fishing lures that he began building as a teenager. He also restored and outfitted his very first boat in his twenties.
Todd was a Journeyman Electrician and a proud member of the IBEW brotherhood for many years. His family was always amazed that he could build a home from the ground up, as he had incredible carpentry, drywall, and masonry skills. Todd took immense pride and care in every project that he completed, wanting to make sure it was perfect and beautiful. Todd lovingly remodeled his childhood home in Coeur d’Alene, modernizing and improving the 100-year-old property. Some of his proudest work achievements were installing the blue lights on the Sandpoint bridge and the SeaTac airport expansion. He was also part of the team that built the CDA Resort back in the 1980s.
Todd is survived by his wife of 12 years, Stacie Printz, his children, Marie Gartz and Mathew Printz, his stepchildren, Laura Abromeit and Kyle McAvoy, and his only grandson, Maverik Gartz. He will be greatly missed by all and is now at peace with his beloved parents, Charlotte, who passed in 2021 and Peter who passed in 2008.
