Tracy Folsom, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on Valentine’s Day in 1967, Tracy carried a heart full of love and compassion throughout her life, touching countless lives with her warmth, strength, and unwavering faith.

Tracy’s passing followed many long and courageous battles with chronic health issues. Despite these challenges, she carried herself with strength, resilience, and a quiet grace that inspired those around her. On Independence Day, she was set free from these struggles and entered into the loving embrace of her Savior, whom she faithfully served. Her perseverance through pain, unwavering faith, and love for her family were a testament to her incredible spirit.

A proud lifelong resident of Post Falls, Idaho, Tracy graduated from Post Falls High School in 1985 and later earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Science Administration. She began her career as a bartender and later Manager at Bob's 21, where her vibrant personality and beautiful smile endeared her as a cherished part of the community. Later, she became self-employed, delivering welcome packets to new homeowners in the area—sharing her love for her hometown with every delivery.

Tracy had a deep heart for giving. She regularly volunteered her time at the Real Life Ministries Community Outreach Center where she served others with kindness and joy. She also donated faithfully to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and other charities that reflected her generous spirit and compassion for others. Tracy also loved spending time in nature with her family, camping, ATV’ing, and huckleberry picking.

Above all, Tracy lived for her family. Her greatest joy was her son, Kody, and the new light of her life—her young granddaughters, Her love for them was boundless. Despite Tracy’s many health challenges throughout her life, Tracy continued to live fully and with purpose—anchored by her deep faith in the Lord and her love for her family.

Tracy is survived by her son, Kody Kartak (Shelby); her cherished granddaughters, Eliana and Olivia; her loving mother, Yvonne Folsom; her adoring brother, Robert Folsom (Katie); her adoring baby sister, Charity Ward (Jeffry); adopted brother Dean Spratt, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will all carry her precious memory forever. Tracy was preceded in death by her grandparents (Irma and Fleater Monzingo) and father (Robert Folsom).

Tracy leaves behind a legacy of strength, service, and love that will never be forgotten and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Tracy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 1:00 PM at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls.

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been established through Thrivent Financial for her grandchildren in honor of Tracy’s memory and her love for her family and education.
