Velma Ruth Farlin, 106.

Velma passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on September 19, 2022. She was born in Haigler, Nebraska on May 27, 1916.

She married Clarke C. Farlin on July 3, 1937. Velma and Clarke moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in October 1937. Velma was very active in the Assembly of God Church in Coeur d’Alene most of her life. She taught Sunday school for 60 years, and was active in Women’s Missionary Society and Missionettes. She was a homemaker all her life.

She is survived by her son Walt Farlin and daughter-in-law Fawn Farlin of Coeur d’Alene, sister Naomi Davis of Yakima Washington, granddaughters Nikele (Rick) Thorne of Coeur d’Alene, Chandra (Shane) Hensley of Post Falls and Amber (Tyler) Drechsel of Dalton Gardens. Along with 8 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

We want to thank Kurt Neely and all the staff at Wellspring Meadows in Hayden, especially Megan and Gabrielle for taking such great care of mom for eleven years. Also, we want to thank the staff at Auburn Crest Hospice for all they did for mom. At Velma’s request, no funeral services will be held.
