Terry was born in Moscow, Idaho before moving to Hayden Lake, ID with his parents Richard and Ada Mae Turnbow and his two sisters. 

He married Donagene Knight in 1970, completed post academy for Idaho State Police in 1973, then worked in Lewiston, ID with ISP before moving home to Post Falls as a trooper. 

Terry was involved with the kids. He spent time as a scoutmaster with Kory, enjoyed coaching soccer and golfing with Kyle, before he retired from the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s office in 2011. Upon retirement, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, continued his love of trains, and perfected the role of grandpa. He loved spending time outside playing cornhole, making smores and watching the grandkids play soccer, run cross country and play chess together.

He is survived by his wife, Donagene of 53 years, and his two sons – Kory and Kyle, their wives and four sweet grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sisters Colleen English and Stacy Elliott, and relatives within the Turnbow, English, Howell, and Wiley families.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday December 1, 2023, at the English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. 4th St., Coeur d’Alene, ID.

These services will be recorded and streamed live. In the event the service is interrupted at any time due to technical issues, the entire service will be uploaded and available to view later in the day.
