William D. Powley

 William "Bill" Powely, 91 resident of Coeur d'Alene, went to Heaven November 19, 2022.  He was born September 26, 1931 in Santa Monica, CA to William and Isabel Powley.

     Bill got married to his wife Audrey Powley in North Hollywood, CA. and together they came to Coeur d'Alene in 1995.

     He graduated from North Hollywood High School in California and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he was stationed in North and South Korea.

     Bill worked as a set painter for the motion picture industry starting with Walt Disney studios and he also did some of the attractions for Disneyland and retired after 41 years in the industry.  He has worked on a lot of movies in his lifetime before retirement.  He was an avid model train enthusiast, loved going to the fair to go see the work horses, and enjoyed golfing.

     Bill is survived by his son Curtis James Powely, Santa Clarita CA; daughters Stephanie Ann Powley, Coeur d'Alene, ID. and Mary-Sue Powley, Jerome, ID. 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday April 22, 2023 at English Funeral Chapel Coeur d'Alene, ID. with a reception to follow.
