Wilma Jane Fillpot

Wilma Jane Fillpot, Age 86, of Post Falls, ID passed away on Wednesday the 23 of July, 2025. After a brief illness she rested from her struggles and went to be with Jesus.

Wilma was born on December 15th, 1938 in Scott City Kansas to James and Lena Huffman. She grew up and graduated High School in Garden City Kansas May 29th, 1957.

Wilma married Darrell Fillpot Sr. Dec. 20th, 1957 and together they shared 35 years of marriage. They raised two children and built a life together in California.

Wilma was proceeded in death by her husband, Darrell Fillpot SR., and is survived by her son, Darrell Fillpot JR. and her daughter, Janice Spencer. Wilma is also survived by 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Katherine Clevenger Burdell and her brother, Robert Huffman.

As Wilma’s children entered their teen years, Wilma began her career teaching school. She loved teaching 3rd grade and ESL classes. It was her joy to seed love and hope through educating these precious children.

Wilma enjoyed singing in the church choir, painting with her daughter, traveling to Israel with friends, and caring for others who had experienced the grief of losing a loved one. Wilma’s priorities were God and then Family and Country. She was proud to be a good daughter, a big sister, a loving wife, a protective and nurturing mother, a doting grandmother and great grandmother.

The family wishes to thank Guardian Angel Home for making the last few years of Wilma’s life secure and peaceful. They also wish to extend their gratitude to the valiant nurses and staff at Hospice of Idaho for their care the last few days of Wilma’s life.
