Winona Vincent

Winona Marie Vincent (nee Meredith) passed away peacefully in hospice on Friday, November 27th, 2020.
Winona was born on February 20th, 1941, to Ralph and Loretta Meredith and grew up in Sandpoint Idaho.  She was the second child of six and had four brothers and one sister.  Nona went to school in Sandpoint and graduated in 1959 from Sandpoint High School.  She continued her education at Links School of Business in Boise, got married in 1960 and had four children.  They eventually settled in SE Idaho.  When the kids were grown, she moved to Sheridan, Wyoming.  Nona worked as a secretary at Sheridan High School and worked her way up to being the Principal's secretary.  After a few years, she decided to move back to N. Idaho to be near her family.  She ultimately settled in Post Falls in a home custom designed by herself and two of her sons who built it for her.  Nona began working for the High School in Post Falls as a secretary and worked there until she retired.
After retirement, she kept busy with her home and family and she also joined a group of ladies at St. George's to make quilts for charity.
She spent her free time reading, doing old fashioned rug hooking, knitting and crocheting and being Grandma to her Grandkids. Nona loved spending time with her children and eventually had three of them living nearby and one son in Seattle.  She was much loved by her family and friends.
Nona is survived by her four children: Cindy, Ken, Paul and Steve, her brother, Glenn, and sister Patty, as well as her eight Grandkids and three Great Grandkids.
A service will be held at an undetermined date and time next year.  Donations in her name can be made to St Vincent de Paul in Post Falls or Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.
