The Man, the Myth, the Legend: Bruce Allen Dawson (a.k.a. Bad-Ass Dawson, or some days, Big-Ass Dawson), has kicked the bucket. He bought the farm; he is pushing up daisies; he gave up the ghost; he decided to shuffle off this mortal coil to that happy hunting ground in the sky shortly after celebrating his 47th anniversary of his 39th birthday.
Reports are unclear as to exactly how he met his maker on March 14, 2020. Some say that he died rushing into a burning building to save some kittens (they were fine). Others say that he was flying a plane when he lost communication somewhere near the Bermuda Triangle, which perplexed his family since they didn’t think that he knew how to fly. Bruce was a man who liked to laugh and he thought that laughter was the best medicine, unless you had diarrhea.
On a more serious note, Bruce is finally reunited with his wife, Ruby; who preceded him in death. He is survived by his five children: Ed (Kim), Rose (Rob), David, William (Beth) and Elton; as well as his nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Bruce worked for the State of Idaho as a bridge foreman and he absolutely loved it. His coworkers tolerated him too; they even nicknamed him “The Greek” on account of his big nose. Bruce was a loving husband, father and grandfather, as well as a wonderful friend to all.
Bruce didn’t want a service. Instead, it’s safe to say that he would prefer you to hug your loved ones and tell them that you love them. In a world full of uncertainty, there is one thing that we can be sure of, and that is that he will be missed terribly.
