Ed was a pillar of the ARCO volunteer fire department at Prudhoe Bay with friends throughout the organization. He was key in the training of the volunteers and helped make the fire department a leader in industrial capabilities. His patience and constant quest for quality attracted many, who, like him, were there to help protect their fellow workers. I miss Ed and his cool, calm in the face of emergencies.  Condolences to Nancy & the rest of his family

So sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. Ed was such a great teacher. As Asst Fire Chief, he spent many hours in the evening instructing me on how to drive a Pump Truck. To me he was always patient, cheerful and kind. A great leader and example for all of us new recruits in the volunteer Fire Service. He was a good man.

I remember listening to Ed’s tales of his time as a policeman in San Diego, going to the shooting range and his appreciation of boxer dogs. He was a good man, my condolences . Robin Robbins
